Warrior Bread Sausage Pepper and Onion

Cook Time 2 hours
Servings 6

  • 1 bag warrior bread mix
  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large onion sliced thin
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced thin
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced thin

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Prepare the dough according to the package instructions- beat the egg whites a few minutes, then mix the water, eggs, and vinegar into the bread mix. Knead for 1 minute.
  • Split the dough into 6 equal sized balls and roll them out into a log. Place the logs onto a parchment lined baking sheet and use a knife to make 4 slits on top of each. This will help it cook evenly.
  • Bake about 35 minutes until nicely browned and cooked through.
  • Allow to cool for a half hour, then slice down the center to form buns.
  • Preheat a grill to medium.
  • Cook the sausages on the grill to brown and cook through, about 20 minutes.
  • Use a pan on the grill, or a veggie grate to char the peppers and onions.
  • Put the sausages into the buns and top with the peppers and onions.
  • Serve.
