Let’s talk about some of the mechanisms of how gluten actually causes damage. Unfortunately, we’re not going to get into all of them but I want to go over some of the major ones in this video.

– GI Damage and Leaky Gut – can lead to development of additional allergies and autoimmune disease.
– Malabsorption of Vitamins – leads to immune system deficits and inability to heal and repair.
– Altered Gut Bacteria – can lead to increased risk of infections and immune system dysregulation.

In each case, the pain is there because most likely you’re doing something detrimental to your health – whether that’s eating grain or other things that can cause chronic inflammatory pain or chemically induced pain. Grain represents more than 50 percent of the caloric intake of Americans and it’s one of the top causes of chronic pain. If we could make this change, you would see pain clinics going out of business, and you would see hospitals with empty waiting rooms because so many people would be so much less inflamed and have so fewer problems as a result of this process driving their health into the hole into the ground.
