7 Key Nutrients To Keep Your Gut Healthy

Another way gluten contributes to gut dysfunction is through nutrient deficiencies. Gluten damages the lining of your intestines, which compromises digestion and nutrient absorption. Diarrhea is often a symptom of gluten sensitivity, which further prevents nutrients from being absorbed. Plus, most medications prescribed for inflammation of the bowels deplete your body of nutrients. And these nutrients play many critical roles within your digestive tract, which include fighting against inflammation as well as protecting and fueling the cells that line your intestines.

It’s worth noting that inflammation in the gut further exacerbates your nutritional status. In fact, about 50% of people with gut inflammation have nutrient deficiencies. Plus, medications used to treat inflammation can cause nutrient deficits and make it more difficult to heal.

  1. Zinc
  2. Vitamin A
  3. Vitamin D
  4. Magnesium
  5. Iron
  6. Selenium
  7. L-Glutamine

Hello Dr. Osborne, REALLY appreciate the information you share !
Question— I am very wheat and dairy intolerant so don’t eat these foods. Also have many food sensitivities. Eat clean veggies and Grassfed meats and wild caught fish, one fruit per day at most and only olive or flax oil. Can’t digest other oils / fats. Have tried them all ! No sugar or stevia because of Candida and rarely eat legumes, quinoa or rice. But unable to take herbs because my hair will fall out profusely and my skin eyes nails lips will get extremely dry with only one or two capsules of herbs. Lemon juice in water or herbal teas will do the same thing. So much for taking something for the Candida or cleansing the liver !!!
Been taking digestive enzymes for past 20 yrs. And now for past several months taking 5-6 HCl capsules but just the last 2 days increased to 7 capsules and this seems to be helpful in digesting fats. My cholesterol is also high ( 268 ) even though I eat so healthy.
Why does taking herbs internally or lemon water dry me out soooo BAD and what can I do about it ???

    Desperate Debbie 😩
