Masks For Covid Increase Celiac Risk

Research published in the Journal of Environmental Research, shows that chemicals commonly used on masks, cookware, and other household items are linked to an increased risk of developing celiac disease.  These compounds, often times referred to as POPs have already been linked to hormone imbalances and immune problems.

The authors of the study state:

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are known endocrine disruptors and, given the interplay between the endocrine and immune systems, are plausible contributors to celiac disease.
