Avoid These Three Triggers If You Have A Thyroid Problem (Especially Hashimoto’s)

There are a number of chemicals that can disrupt the thyroid gland. In this episode, I break down 3 of the most common chemicals in the air, water, and food that can disrupt and inhibit healthy thyroid hormone function.

1. Halides – chlorine, bromine, and fluoride as these inhibit iodine uptake by your thyroid gland, and contribute to hypothyroidism.
2. Pesticides – these chemicals are commonly made with bromine, chlorine, and fluoride, and can contribute to low thyroid symptoms.
3. Plastics – the chemicals in plastics can contribute to overall hormone disruption impacting the thyroid, adrenals, as well as estrogen levels.
