Question for the Doc….I'm a menopausal woman who is looking to use more herbs for medicinal purposes to treat menopausal symptoms. Milky Oats is one that is suppose to be very supportive of the system….but of course it's made from oats. Also using tintures poses a problem since most are extracted in Vodka and one can't be sure of the source for making the Vodka, whether it be grain or potatoes. The amt of tincture taken is very small, but I'm guessing would still have negative affects. Any thoughts?

Don't recommend grain based products.  There are other herbal products that can be used for menopausal symptoms that do not contain grains.  Too often people ignore the small doses of grain and end up ill.

    All the best,
