    Dear Dr. O,

I have been healing my GI symptoms for the past two years. I’m free from SIBO and fungus. The only thing left is to heal my leaky gut and arrest my  autoimmune thyroid.

I just learned that I am pregnant (one month).

Is it safe to take UltraImmune IgG during pregnancy?

Any suggestions on where to find literature on leaky gut and pregnancy would be helpful. I don’t want to continue with the pregnancy if I am putting myself and a baby at high risk. I am working with a functional doctor but want to gather all of the information and opinions that I could.

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Renee

    Renee,

It is safe to take Ultraimmune IgG during pregnancy.  To date there is not much research on investigating pregnant women with leaky gut.  Remember that it is a relatively new scientific finding.

I will keep you updated as more research comes to light.

Good to hear you are working with a functional medicine doctor.

    All the best,

    Dr. OSmile
