Does anyone know anything about thyroglobulin levels? I have hypothyroidism (hashimotos). My thyroglobulin levels in 2010 were 28, today I got my results and they were 87.8. Everything I read about this says it goes along with Graves disease which is the complete opposite of what I have. Any suggestions or in sight on this?
    Thanks,
    Lori

I have read something, somewhere (it’s foggy) about a shift in thyroid levels when your body is adapting/adjusting to burning fat instead of sugar, something about ketones…..I remember it saying that this can give the false impression on bloodwork sometimes that there could be a thyroid problem but in actuality it’s not, you’re getting healthier. Hopefully I’m not getting that too mixed up, I don’t know for sure and I’m sorry I cannot quote the source. I have a few books and I’ll page through and try to find it again, if I can find it I’ll let you know, but I do know I read something like that. Maybe someone else can lend some more reliable info.

    Yes,
Jackie is correct in her understanding. It is very common for the numbers to invert during healing. Be patient and re-test in the future.
