Hi, my name is Tammy. I have recently been diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, an auto immunue disease. I also have lichen sclerosis, another auto immune disease. And they are testing me for auto immune hepatitis, as they suspect I have that as well based on some of my bloodwork. So I am an auto immune mess! I have been doing a lot of research and have found that it may very well be gluten that has made me sick. And I am hoping to turn that around with going TRUE gluten free and also adding in the vitamins I am not absorbing. I’m also taking my 3 year old daughter gluten free because she has a 1,000 times more likely chance to get PBC since I have it and females have a 75% higher risk in the first place. So I’m thinking if we can possibly prevent this from happening to her, that would be great. I really don’t think it will be that tough for her anyway. She doesn’t get much processed food, pasta or bread anyway. There are a few things that will be tough to get her to let go of and being ‘different’ at preschool may be an issue, but we will ultimately be successful- I am confident. The motivation of NOT losing her liver like I am destined for is plenty motivating.

Anyway, I look forward to ‘meeting’ people on here and getting guidance in our journey.
