    If you miss pumpkin pie, and are doing the green smoothie thing, then try this recipe. You’ll be licking the blades on your blender! And the cool part is that canned pumpkin scores a respectable 372 on Dr. Fuhrman’s ANDI foods list.

    3 large leaves romaine lettuce, cabbage, or your fave veggie
    (1) 15 oz can pumpkin
    1 cup VANILLA coconut beverage ( or use almond milk, milk, water, etc.)
    3 tbs almond butter, or a handful of nuts (optional if you are nut-free)
    1 tsp vanilla
    ¼ tsp cinnamon
    ¼ tsp nutmeg
    Dash of allspice
    Dash of ground cloves
    Dash of stevia or your favorite sweetener
    1or 2 tbsp flax seeds

    Blend and enjoy! If you need some healthy fat, toss in an avocado or two. For protein, an egg or two, or your favorite protein ingredient. And if you like Dreamsicles/ Creamsicles, I’ve got a green smoothie that will fool your taste buds. Just let me know if you are interested.
