I'm very excited to have found out Dr. Osborne's information about gluten. I thought I had been gluten free for the past 4 1/2 years but now I know I have not. I've learned so much in the past couple of days and I know it's going to help me make a full recovery.
I'd been getting sicker and sicker for years and I'd seen lots of doctors who ran a a standard blood panel and based on that determined there was nothing physically wrong with me and made referrals to various psychiatrists who wanted to put me on a cocktail of antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and sleeping pills. I felt so badly and was so desperate I tried their cocktails only to feel far, far worse. I was finally diagnosed with gluten sensitivity, leaky gut, and a systemic candida infection by a naturopathic physician. I went on a strict diet with no gluten and nothing that would feed the candida. And I felt so much better. After I began adding back more carbohydrates I got very tired again and didn't really understand why until now. I've been eating what I thought were non-gluten grains, but have actually been eating gluten!
I'm really looking forward to learning more and regaining my health completely.
