Many with gluten sensitivity develop IBS.  Recently, the Mayo clinic published their recommendation that people with IBS be genetically tested for gluten sensitivity.

Did going gluten free reduce IBS symptoms for you?

    Please share…

my daughter is currently having issues similar to IBS.  Her dad and i are divorced and he keeps feeding her gluten even though she throws up and gets really sick after eating it.  This has gone on now for 2 1/2 years and she is now having issues with her bowels.  If anybody has any suggestions on the best way to heal up her colon i would love to hear it.  She is only 4 1/2 very young to have to deal with this.

Ariella, How long does she stay with her dad? Would it be possible to send along some stuff that she can eat when her dad doesn’t give her better options?

i did used to try to send food.  he got to where he would not take it.  he said “i can buy my own food” and would refuse to take the stuff i bought.  he really is a very stubborn and hard headed man.  They go weds night to thursday morning, i pick up and then thursday night to friday morning.  it is enough to do quite a bit of damage 🙁

Noodles: peel and thin slice long ways 1 large zuchinni

Put a single layer of ½ of noodles in glass casserold pan
and drizzle with olive oil and lemon to soften.

Veggies: layer ½ of these on top of the noodles

    1 small yellow squash, sliced

1 ½ cups spinach, with stems removed

    ½ red bell pepper, sliced

    ½ green bell pepper, sliced

    1 cup broccoli flowerets

    2 carrots shredded

    Marinara sauce: blend in blender

    1 cup dried tomatoes

    2 to 3 fresh tomatoes

    1 tsp basil

    2 tsp oregano

    2 tsp salt

    ¼ cup olive oil

    2 to 3 cloves garlic

    1/8 cup onion

layer ½ marinara sauce over veggies

Ricotta cheese sauce: blend in food processor

1 cup macadamia nuts – soaked overnight

    ½ head cauliflower

    2 cloves garlic

    1 tsp celtic sea salt

    1 tsp Italian seasoning

water – enough to moisten but not be runny

layer ½ cheese sauce over marinara sauce

Repeat all layers and place dish in dehydrator on 115 for
about 60 minutes or until warm.

(could do on lowest oven setting and then leave door cracked
open as well if you don’t have dehydrator this would fit in)

i posted a bunch of other really good recipes in the recipe section under the gluten free dairy free 🙂

That sounds so yummy! I have done some raw lasagnas before, but this one is a little different…I think I have all these ingredients, so I might try this one out this weekend!
