Does anyone have any testimonials about going gluten free and seeing improvement in meniere’s and/or hearing loss/nerve damage?  My dad has gluten sensitivity and health problems too numerous to list here.  Most recently however, he developed a severe fungal infection in his ear that has taken weeks to resolve and that is only after several antibiotics and antifungal medications.  He has a large hole in his ear that requires surgery as soon as the infection is gone.  He has lost most of his hearing and it has not returned yet even with the fungal infection clearing up.  He has not held to a gluten free diet due to being overwhelmed and on a tight budget.  However now he is scared to death that he won’t get his hearing back.  The doctors said yesterday that he might have meniere’s.  I told him about the connection between gluten and meniere’s.  But I’m wanting to see if anyone has ever had an improvement in dizziness, balance and hearing–especially regaining hearing–after going gluten free.  Thoughts?

I see patients improve on a regular basis.  The research in this arena also finds similar outcomes.
