ParticipantWell, I just had a blood test (ALCAT) that said I was severe intolerance to wheat and moderate intolerance to gluten/glaidain.
This on top of many, many things…not going into now but basically I’ve had to completely overhaul my eating.
The good news is a have an answer. The bad news is that regular people don’t seem to take it seriously.
The other challenge (which makes the test a relief) is dealing with the horrible side effects of gluten (and probably the other sensitivites I have) like off balance/dizzy, left leg numbness (sorta hard to explain that one) but when I eat gluten about 24-48 hours later the fatigue and foggy thinking hit and it is h e double hockey sticks! Please tell me someone can relate?

KeymasterHi Stephanie,
Your symptoms are quite common. Here is a story of someone with a similar gluten reaction:

ParticipantWhom do I go for healing on this?
My naturopath does have me on many b vitamins, including extra 12 and 6. She has me on adrenal support as well because when I’m off it I get depresssed. I’m seeing a Dr. (her suggestion) for possible underlying thyroid issues. No thyroid issues are showing up in the main tests most Dr.’s run.I just feel there is no one around who get what I am going through.

KeymasterStephanie,
I can’t speak for other doctors. The bottom line is that some are more experienced with these things and others are clueless. I recommend checking out http://www.myglutenfreedoctor.com to find someone. If you don’t have a certified practitioner in your area, call my office and try to set up a consult.
All the best,
Dr. O

ParticipantThanks Dr. O,
I am learning so much with all of your videos. In fact, I was inspired to exercise this morning!
Interestingly, I made some banana muffins with my son over the weekend. It was a gluten free flour with 1/3 cup of regular wheat flour. The NEXT two days (NOT right away) I had MAJOR issues with my left food going numb and all sorts of weirdness. It became very clear it came from the wheat and/or fake wheat in the muffins.
I look forward to your teaching on why the alternative grains/pasta, including “gluten-free” breads can be harmful as well.
Thanks!
Stephanie
