I’m fairly new to the GF lifestyle and just realized that one of my supplements is labeled “Gluten Free” but it contains both barley grass and wheat grass. Are they safe for me to use?
I have discovered they are not safe for me. I could not say if that is generally true for celiacs and gluten sensitive.
I have a skin reaction to them when I rub against them. I found this out when I used them as cover crop in the garden! Well, what else do you do with leftover grain you can no longer eat?
Although technically grasses are safe (remember that the seed of grass is what contains the gluten), I would advise avoiding them initially. Many of these products are cross contaminated with enough gluten to be a problem.
