Burger Bowls

  • 1 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp juice from the pickle jar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 or 3 romaine hearts, shredded
  • about 1 cup of pickle slices
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • sliced red onion
  • sesame seeds


  • Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Preheat a frying pan over high heat. Drizzle some oil into the pan. Add in the beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook over high heat, stirring often, until well browned. Remove from heat and drain excess fat if needed.
  • Build the bowls starting with the romaine, then topping it with the ground beef, pickles, tomatoes, and onions. You could also add any of your favorite burger toppings at this point!
  • Drizzle with the special sauce and shake on some sesame seeds. Serve.
  • Other topping ideas: sweet potato fries, bacon, avocado, caramelized onion, sauteed mushroom
