Ingredients
- 1 Pound Sirloin or Skirt Steak Sliced thin against the grain
- 1 Tablespoon Tapioca Starch
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 1/4 Tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 Cups Chopped Broccoli Florets
- 2 Cloves grated garlic
- 1 Inch Ginger (Peeled and Grated)
- 1 Tablespoon Tamari
- 1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon honey
- 1/4 Cup Beef Broth
- 2 Sliced Scallions
- 1 Garnish sesame seeds
- salt and pepper To Taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the beef broth, the starch, and the baking soda. Season with Salt and Pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
- Rinse and strain the meat. Pat dry with paper towels.
- In a large frying pan over high heat, add the sesame oil and broccoli and toss to cook and begin to char.
- Add the beef to the frying pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until cooked through and starting to brown on the edges. Turn heat to low.
- If the pan is too dry, add a little more sesame oil. Add in the garlic and ginger. Cook 1 minute while stirring.
- Add in the tamari, vinegar, honey, and broth. Stir to combine, cook for about 3 minutes.
- Add in the scallions and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and serve, top with Sesame Seeds.
- Suggestion - Serve over Starch noodles or Cauliflower Rice!
