Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients
 

  • 1 Pound Sirloin or Skirt Steak Sliced thin against the grain
  • 1 Tablespoon Tapioca Starch
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 1/4 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 Cups Chopped Broccoli Florets
  • 2 Cloves grated garlic
  • 1 Inch Ginger (Peeled and Grated)
  • 1 Tablespoon Tamari
  • 1 Teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 Cup Beef Broth
  • 2 Sliced Scallions
  • 1 Garnish sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper To Taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix the beef broth, the starch, and the baking soda. Season with Salt and Pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse and strain the meat. Pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a large frying pan over high heat, add the sesame oil and broccoli and toss to cook and begin to char.
  • Add the beef to the frying pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until cooked through and starting to brown on the edges. Turn heat to low.
  • If the pan is too dry, add a little more sesame oil. Add in the garlic and ginger. Cook 1 minute while stirring.
  • Add in the tamari, vinegar, honey, and broth. Stir to combine, cook for about 3 minutes.
  • Add in the scallions and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and serve, top with Sesame Seeds.
  • Suggestion - Serve over Starch noodles or Cauliflower Rice!
