Denise wants to know what she can do naturally help her psoriasis. So in this video QnA breakdown, I discuss some simple natural and functional nutrition strategies to help.
3 Natural Approaches to Improving Psoriasis
1. Get more sunshine on a daily basis
2. Check your vitamin and mineral status to assess that you have the nutrients necessary to help support healthy skin. B-vitamins, vitamin C, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin E, and others have been shown to help support vibrant skin.
3. Diet change. The best diet for psoriasis is the No Grain No Pain 30 day protocol. This includes dairy, sugar, and grain free eating.
Getting more sunshine to the limit of your skin’s ability to tolerate it. Get the sunlight that your skin tolerates without burning and get it on a daily basis.
Have your doctor, your functional medicine doctor preferably, check your vitamin and mineral status. Traditional docs are often not trained in nutrition.
You want to know particularly about zinc, about vitamin A, about vitamin E, about vitamin C, about certain B vitamins like niacin or vitamin B-3 because deficiencies of these nutrients can actually contribute to inflammation of the skin.
You’ll want to look at some of the additional food restrictions that we’ve created in No Grain, No Pain based on my 20 years of clinical experience and helping people with autoimmunity find real natural health solutions to their problem.
