I hear you farmwife!!  We always had problems with regular, cheap white eggs and have been buying the brown omega 3's for years, but like I said since upping our daily intake, problems definitely arose Frown  I stubbornly ignored it, and took every.single.thing.else out of my diet to get better, and still didn't.  Eggs gone now for 24 hours and definitely starting to feel improvement.  This has been going on for OVER 2 weeks—-the insomnia and anxiety being the worst as I haven't slept through the night for the 2 weeks… awful!  I did find out that Chino Valley Farmers eggs don't feed their chickens wheat—and a call in to our local health food store I found out they can order them for me!  I know they feed them corn and soy, but I am thinking the no wheat will be the biggie for us.  I am going to try them anyways and see how we do—as you are right—-I can't imagine living now without eggs Surprised  I don't think we can afford the new Soy free, GF eggs from Chino Valley Farmers, but am happy at least they don't feed them wheat.  EVERY single other egg producer, organic or not, feeds their chickens wheat!

It's funny, but now I am thinking that the 'problem's' I thought we had with a certifed GF almond flour may very well have been the huge flats of cheap eggs I was buying!  I got the Almond Flour Cookbook and all the recipes use large quantities of eggs.  Our entire family got VERY ill after a few weeks………..and now that I think back—the eggs!!!

It's kind of funny that they are now acknowledging that soy allergic people can't tolerate reagular soy fed chicken eggs, but no acknowledgement of the wheat issue?!  I can now assure people—it IS very real!  Not only are humans what we eat, but so are animals.

Is there a safe Vit D brand out there?  We react even to labeled GF brands.

Just found out that our brand of olives uses ferrous gluconate (mostly derived from corn?) to blacken the olives!  It's a big name brand, so who knows if they are importing the stuff from China, and if they are it is more than likely contaminated with wheat.  Corn and other grains and glutens are hiding EVERYWHERE!!!  It's very discouraging and frustrating to eat sometimes.

    Hi farmwife!

I know EXACTLY how you feel!  We seem to be surrounded by the very same Food Pushers that use the guilt trip too!  5 years into, my own mother is still questioning our 'fad diet' and thinks we need to condition our bodies to take gluten again by eating bread once a week.  AND she is an RN!  In fact, my husband and I are just recovering from a dinner from one of our Food Pusher friends who puts us in the VERY uncomfortable position of not being able to say No to her cooking a couple of times a year—-which of course, those couple of times a year we eat at her house we get glutened.

Wow!  Good to know.  In fact, we quit using Listerine about a year ago because I did suspect it causing problems.  Did the Listerine people tell you which grain their alcohol is made from ?  I am eagerly awaiting to hear about a safe ready made mouthwash.  But I'm pretty sure you can make your own out of hydrogen peroxide, mint oil and or tea tree oil.

I know, the blood testing is terribly inaccurate, I can't believe it's still used as a front line testing!  I firmly believe in the genetic testing for proper diagnosis.  I still can't get over that our daughter was sicker after being 'GF' for 4 years than when we first instigated testing Surprised

We first started out with a Naturopathic Dr. who stated that just by looking at us, she could see we were dealing with food intolerances!  Her blood testing showed our daughter at 13 to have an alkaline phosphatase level SO high, she had to run it 3 times to make sure it wasn't a mistake.  Her eosinophils were 7.7% and high lymphocytes.  Our son had elevated eosinophils, high lymphocyte count and low WBC.  My husband's liver enzymes were elevated.  I didn't do blood testing at that time because I thought I was healthy.

Then we used the Prometheus blood test for our daughter, with IgG serological marker for celiac disease detected. My husband's Prometheus blood test was totally negative for any serological markers for celiac.  We then proceeded to use Enterolab, using the stool and DNA testing.

Daughter: HLA-DQB1*0201,0301–DQ2, DQ3  In 2005, her Fecal Antigliadin IgA was 51, Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 37. Microscopic Fecal Fat 174.

In 2009, we retested her with Enterolab because she was totally whacked out—physically and mentally and I had a hunch she was still getting gluten even on our meticulously 'GF' diet.  Antigliadin IgA 81, Antitissue Transglutaminase IgA 55 and Microscopic Fecal Fat 578.  Amazingly, her numbers were HIGHER after 4 years on a GF diet than while eating full gluten diet!!!

    Husband: HLA-DQB1*0201,0503–DQ2, DQ1

    Myself: HLA-DQB1*0201,0301–DQ2, DQ3

    Son: HLA-DQB1*0301,0503–DQ3, DQ1

All of us, with the exception of my son, had elevated antigliadin IgA and fecal antitissue transglutaminase IgA.  Interestingly enough, ALL of us got better and healthier on a GF diet.  And even though our son apparently does not have celiac according to his genetics, he now gets just as sick as his sister when he gets gluten—joint pains, lowered immunity, headaches, bone pains, bloody noses, crankiness and poor academic performance.

Thanks Dr. O!  My Celiac friend and I came up with that one Wink  Very happy with this site and all the work at educating you are doing about True GF.

YES!!!!  I ALWAYS got them.  I would think it was sugar, salt, sour or even the toothpaste I was using.  I spent a LOT of money on natural SLS-free toothpastes too.  Then when our son was born, HE would not only get the canker sores, but the big, white and painful aphthous ulcers in his mouth before he was even a year old.  Upon asking the Dr., he informed me it was a virus and try not to kiss your bayb!  Ya right!  My son and I just dealt with the ulcers in our mouths on a regular basis—and they would strangely always seem to appear really badly when we would travel and eat all that junk food, drive thru food Wink  It wasn't until Diagnosis/GF in 2005 that those 'viral ulcers' disappeared—totally!  And we do get them again with trace contaminations and regular contaminations.
