I know it sounds overwhelming to begin with, but trust me you will feel so much better and your children will feel better eating this way too.  What kind of testing did you have done? If you had genetic testing you will know if your children need to eat this way too, (they probably do).  I believe as I think most people here do too, everyone would be better eating this way.  I have had so many things disappear such as… restless leg syndrome, night sweats, plantaar fasciitis (almost gone, not completely, but not any where near as bad as before diet change), weight loss, my vision even got a little better (I couldn't believe it, my Dr. thinks it is from the inflammation I was having).  I know there are more things, I just can't think of them right now.

It is more work cooking, but you get used to it.  I try to make extra of everything I make. For instance, today I made homemade turkey soup for lunch with a turkey carcass I had thrown in the freezer, the last time I had turkey. I made enough soup for 3 meals and froze 2 of those meals.  When I make meatloaf, I make enough for 2 or 3 meals etc.. I have also canned some of my meat for faster meal preperation.  I can and freeze veggies in season.  Sometimes I feel like I have my own little fast food place in my freezer. It does get overwhelming once in awhile, especially when people are eating out and you want to go and be social. I know some people never eat out but, I know I couldn't live like that.  However, I eat very few things when eating out. I will have baked fish and I tell them no seasoning, because you just never know.  I also tell them I am gluten sensitive and I ask for no bread or croutons. I use only fresh squeezed lemons and salt and pepper on my salads and I ask if they have veggies with no butter or seasonings.  Some times I end up with a burger pattie with only lettuce and tomato for my salad, but I prepare for this by having something to eat before I go so I'm not starving.  Most people are very understanding, you are however always taking a risk of getting glutened. So, I try to save these times for special occasions. 

Keep reading these posts and use your search engine online to find recipes and grainfree ideas.  It is worth it and after awhile, it really isn't bad.  It will be worth it to teach your children to eat this way now and they won't have your problems when they grow up.  I wish I would have learned this before my kids were too old to change.
