Well, I have only been taking the digestive enzymes for a little over a week.  HUGE that they aren't bothering me, because everything bothers me.  Since taking them I have been able to up the amount of probiotics I am taking.  I went to a functional medicine MD (I am in Michigan) and she ordered the digestive panel I was telling you about.  I believe it was through Genova Diagnositics…http://www.integrativepsychiatry.net/genova_diagnostics_comprehensive_digestive_stool_analysis_20_wparasitology.html

I see that you can order it online, but the price was less for me going through the physician.  Also the results were very complicated and I feel would be difficult to interpret even for someone with medical background, it was overwhelming.  I know you can also order your own testing for malabsorption through enterolab…http://www.enterolab.com/StaticPages/TestInfo.aspx#stool_intestinal_malabsorption.  I had this done a year prior to the other test and even though I was on the proper diet little improvement.  Because my gut was leaky and no beneficial gut flora it has been a slow healing process.  Plus I feel like I've taken the long way around since I had trouble finding a doctor who would actually concede that anything was even wrong with me.  There are always excuses…”of course you're thin you are on such a restricted diet”, or “of course you're tired you're busy working and have four kids”, or whatever.  People were starting to think I was anorexic.  One doctor even told me to eat more cake, cookies, and pie to try to gain some weight!  Confused  I did also lose more weight when I first went grain free.  I have been grain, sugar, dairy, & soy free for over a year now.  I've only gained 2-3 pounds but I do feel better, just not completely yet.  I am really hoping that once I can stick with the full dose of probiotics and the digestive enzymes things will start to turn around.
