My comfort food was popcorn dripping with butter. I had a little anxiety when I found out I needed to give that up. But it was very short lived because I found that I really don't need comfort food all that much. When I do, I nibble on a handful of organic sunflower seeds or walnuts. It works for me.
I don't feel deprived at all. I'm not really giving up anything. I'm simply replacing unhealthy for healthy. If anything, I'm gaining more food choices because I'm curious about new foods and willing to explore all my options. I'm actually having a lot of fun with the grain free diet.
I hope you feel better soon. I was very pleased with how fast I noticed changes in my health.
