What if you can’t use Almond Flour to due to children’s nut allergies? What is a good substitute flour? Thanks.

Would GFS recommend a brand of almond flour to use that is A-ok for a Celiacs. Preferably a brand that is not running other flours on the lines.

  • Adele Long says:

Is there an alternative for the almond flour, I am
allergic to all tree nuts and peanuts?

  • Try coconut flour or tapioca :)

I made these tonight and they didn’t turn out! The batter was so dry that I couldn’t even spoon them onto the pan and then they just didn’t turn out at all! Any suggestions this was an expensive experiment!

  • Mark says:

I haven’t tried them, but I’m thinking along Michelle’s lines, that perhaps there isn’t enough liquid in this recipe? Or?

  • Becky Rider says:

Mindy, I use Honeyville Farms blanched almond flour because it is certified gluten-free. I have no idea what brand(s) GFS might recommend, but I have used Honeyville Farms almond flour safely for several years (and I am extremely sensitive to the presence of gluten).

    Good luck!
